REMEMBER MINNESOTA: No More Funding for ICE or CBP

U.S. Senator Tina Smith (D-MN) took to the Senate floor to urge her colleagues to vote against almost 70 billions of dollars in additional funding for ICE and CBP without any basic reforms. Minnesota was flooded with more than 3,000 masked federal agents, terrorizing communities and killing Renee Good and Alex Pretti without facing any real consequences from for their lawlessness. Funding for ICE and CBP should at least be denied until common-sense guardrails are put in place - reforms that would impose similar rules to what local police and county sheriff’s departments have to follow, like identifying themselves as law enforcement and getting a judge to sign off on a search warrant.
